Food and Dietary
Supplement Analysis
Our nutritional food supplement department
is staffed with skilled scientists that have expertise in
nutritional label claims, vitamins and minerals analysis,
dietary supplements and enzymes, functional foods, and botanical/herbal
supplements. AAL's nutritional lab
is equipped with state-of-the art instruments, such as HPLC,
gas chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, ICP mineral
analysis, and ion chromatography.
Nutritional Label Claims
The Nutritional Labeling and Education Act
(NLEA) of 1990 mandated nutrient labeling on almost all
foods and food supplement sold in the U.S. AAL
adopted AOAC International, and other companies published
equivalent methods for nutritional labeling. This includes
vitamin analysis by HPLC, cholesterol by gas chromatography,
fatty acid profile, and methyl ester gas chromatography.

Dietary Supplement Analysis
Dietary supplement analysis
is an integral part of the testing done at AAL. Like all
studies and tests performed at AAL, the dietary supplement
analysis is conducted only under USP, BP, EP, AOAC,
FCC, or approved published methods, with extra
security or our own stringent guidelines regarding accuracy,
cleanliness and confidentiality. AAL analyzes
dietary supplement using HPLC and GC. Our dietary supplement
analytical service covers amino acids analysis, digestive
enzymes analysis, dietary active, sports nutrition, weight
maintenance nutrition, and botanical herbal supplement.
